What are the chances we start 13-0 with our non conference schedule? I honestly think we have a pretty good shot.

RE: BBAL Schedule is finally out!
It looks like all Saturday games are doubleheaders with the women's games. I have season tickets to and support both teams, but I can only attend the Saturday games due to the distance we live from NIU. I understand that the teams are scheduled together to save money. For my wife and I, sitting through 2 games can get tiring (especially when we get hoarse cheering in the first game). Last year, there were some first games that went into OT, so that really makes for a long day. So, as the season progresses, we will probably end up choosing one of the games to see. Oh, well, it is what it is.

Gross. That's all I have to say about that schedule. At least Indiana St. and UIC are more local.

So is that just 2 lower-division opponents? Roosevelt and Illinois-Springfield?

I LOVE THIS SCHEDULE!!!! Once again NIU will win 20 games, maybe more. And since when it comes to non power conferences, numbers are all that matter, our numbers should be awesome. Perception is reality in the non power 5, this will be fantastic.

Probably won't get 13-0 start. I see 20 + wins but I don't think we will be celebrating any championships this season. Maybe next year though.

That is an unacceptable non conference home schedule. Embarassing. I think it's time for NIU to start taking basketball seriously. To Frazier: if you brought it to scheduling like the football team brings it every Saturday we would be in a much better spot. This is so awful to have this embarrassing schedule as a follow up to last years schedule

It's fine, just relax. Basketball, unlike football, you have to schedule quality teams in order to get into the tournament. in football you just need wins, no matter how, to get into bowl games. so teams aren't going to schedule cupcakes like NIU has been historically because beating them does nothing. We need to win consistently before we start getting good home games.

I hope that once we start getting into the dance then better teams will play us, even in Dekalb, as we will have a (name), but at this point it will look bad if we beat them, so coaches don't want anything to do with us. Does that make any sense? I am just happy to see them in person in Tampa.
GO HUSKIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SOS will be 275, 300+.
You will need to lose 5 or less to be talked about for big dance.

Win the conference and go to the Big Dance. That's what matters.

RE: BBAL Schedule is finally out!
If they go through the OOC schedule with no more than 1 loss, then have a good conference record, then I'll expect a little better schedule next year.

They had an awful schedule last year but the MAC play boosted SOS significantly and ended at 162
