Memphis can be Wichita/VCU/Gonzaga/San Diego State for Tubby.

Hopefully, he signs 3 star guys like Enoh AND they are here for 3-4 years because these are the types that have to develop over a couple of seasons and develop chemistry playing together, etc.

The only worry with Tubby on getting this level of talent to Memphis is that he ran off/lost some good players at Minnesota.

I think just being at Memphis is a huge benefit in helping with things like that though. I mean in all honestly who the hell wants to play basketball at Minnesota? People can say what they want but Memphis still has an amazing arena to play in, a rabid fanbase when they show up and Memphis is just a lot cooler of a place to play basketball overall.

I think the last two coaches signed five apiece that actually played ball here, so it's not as uncommon to sign 5-stars at Memphis as it is at the places Tubby has been since Kentucky. Besides, if he finishes better than 5th in the American (our best finish so far) and wins two games in the tournament some year that will be a change for the better.

On another note, Johnson was ranked as a 4-star prospect (like Dedric) rather than a 3, but whatever their initial ranking, hopefully they'll all get better by staying at Memphis instead of by leaving, and that will be another change for the better.

He's better off not recruiting Memphis. Case in point. See Cal for how to recruit to be successful here. See Pastner to see how to recruit and not be successful here.

RE: Signing day
Once you get all 3 signed, you can stand pat for a while.

Play the season out and pull some guys in the late period, check the grad market out, etc.

I think Rykhoek will get a second season too - can't see how he gets denied.

Azab off a redshirt.

Possibly only losing Kessee, Jake and Dedric (admitted big loss).

Could have better balance and depth and experience though.

RE: Signing day
Enoh is a pure beast. Adding these three with what we got coming back is a nice foundation. Now all we need is a late signee or grad transfer.
