We used to dominate these Canadian teams, especially cause they would be in the box all night and we would have tons of PPs. Last time we played these guys (Univ of Toronto) we tied and won the meaningless shootout back in 2014.
Not that this should matter, as the expectation should be to dominate them, but I suspect the coaches are probably getting some last looks at several players as they trying to finalize thier forward lines and pairings. You may see some lines/pairings that you would not normally see during the regular season.
I'm also assuming we will see more players in this game than they would normally dress, as I think they have that flexibility in these exhibition games.

They will dress as many as they can. Not sure how they are going to fit them all on the bench. Is anybody going to the hockey game? I'll be at the Football game.

I think they'll rotate them into the line up between periods, sitting some guys each period. Pretty sure we will see them all play in this game
I'm excited to see all the new players
Doubt attendance will be very good do to football

The team looked good considering we played without a goaltender all night.

Yeah, always disappointing when you lose to a Canadian team but last night we made losing look pretty good. 50-17 in shots. There goalie played extremely well and ours didn't it's as simple as that. I thought we looked good. Standouts that I saw have really good games are Lawton Courtnall, Wade Allison, Cam Lee, Tiffels, Dienes, Flemming and Conrad. Dries, Kaski, Novak, Bafia, Novak and Dipietro didn't dress so there are plenty of tools still left to be used.

RE: 2016-17 NCHC Pre-Season Predictions
I personally had a real hard time following the game, thanks to the center ice camera man. I hope someone addresses this
Goalies just need to get out there, get some games under their belt and get into a groove. Then we will have a better idea as to what we have. Maybe after the DU series will know more.
Broncos looked allot quicker, but until we start seeing NCHC action, hard to tell about that also. Loved the line of Rebry, Muir and Tiffels. Man that line is a handful.
After Ferris and BGU series, we have 3 NCHC series in a row, DU, Miami and UMD. Will have a pretty good indicator of where we stand.
I see Ferris loses thier opener vs Alabama Huntsville and UMD stomped Tech.

Goaltending was not good but a few d men coughed up the puck directly resulting in goals and their goalie was outstanding

I agree with the comment from this UND fan
Quote:WMU is an interesting team. They had 3 things hurt them last year: 1. Very avg goal tending. 2. Few goal scorers/snipers. 3. Horrific PK.
If WMU can get decent GT'ing and find some scoring, they might surprise a few teams. They are big, strong, fast, and have an excellent coach. They create problems for teams, they just need to score a few more goals and get some improved tending. We'll see, but this team might be better than many people might think.
