I don't know why Louisville fell in the rankings, by all reports our admissions have improved. Perhaps it's due to the inner turmoil going on with our multiple BOT's. That can't help a university reputation.

Certainly seems like there's a power struggle taking place, but I live out of state so am not privy to it and those I know who live there do not know what's going on. Even alums.

Since it's KY, and the Blew Governor seems to have a hand in things I'd say it's some sort of attempt to get the hilljacks out of any form of running of the institution.

Of course, U of L has been making them look so bad recently that they are likely trying to monkey-wrench anything the school does. And thus what we have right now...an aspiring school & community stuck in a backwards-ass country-fvck state.

US News rankings are like the Billboard top 40. It is for the masses and doesn't necessarily reflect quality. Remember Jason Isbell has never been in the top 40 but New Kids on the Block were on there regularly.
