RE: who will be our pass rusher?
I think our biggest problem is our safety. Should have had 2 interceptions but 1 went for big gain and the other a td. I was at the game it he took bad angles and was scared to compete for the ball. Rewatched game last night (minus the humidity) and the announcers noted that he "overran the play". They were being kind. We need a kid w instincts back there or our pass D will continue to get exposed. Also agree a pass D is needed to help the deep 4 out.

our D line was told not to pressure the usf QB as we did not want him to run true story that was part of the game plan fill gaps but do not rush the qb

I remember freshman Kyle Pugh terrorizing the backfield in the spring game, but he was red-shirted. I guess Carey figured we would not need him this year.

Pugh is a 2nd year guy R-FR are you saying he is a redshirt this year ?? that would mean his first year was a medical RS ???

Or is it he just can not win playing time in practice this year >??

thats what I thought he just can not crack into our incredibly deep linebacker group

Based on play we are not deep. No stand outs yet

RE: who will be our pass rusher?
Last week, a poster posed a question about the availability of Alton Meeks at one of the D-End spots. Is he injured?

RE: who will be our pass rusher?
I thought we would have seen more from Corey Thomas, Austin Smaha and William Lee. I'm sure Thomas is still trying to get back to 100% from the injury last year, but those guys I believe will come alive.

I think Bobby Jones has played well. One of the only ones on D that has stood out IMO

Give Pugh a shot. What do we have to lose?

Meeks was supposed to be a starter but he didn't even make the travel squad to Wyoming. I didn't see him last week either. I haven't heard anyone ask Carey about him. Didn't sound like an injury issue to me but I don't know for certain. Not sure what the story is with him.

Play Pugh and sit Corcoran. That dude can't play a lick. No moves. No speed. No power. He just engages and stays there.
