I saw him play in person a few times the year they won state. I fully expected to see him at an upper level Big 14 school, but thought, "man, I would love to see him at UT." He was a man among boys in the games I saw and he was only a soph.

I think he'll stick. With all the hullabaloo, he would disappoint a lot of people if he changed his mind again. NFL scouts know where Toledo is. No problem there.

He probably hasn't played in the second half of a lot of games.

He already has 170 yards...........on 3 carries.

Warren went over 6,000 career rushing yards tonight...the only player in the history of Toledo to accomplish that.

In only 1 half of action...this has happened to him numerous times in his career where he sits the entire 2nd half because the game is already over.

Might I add, he looked pretty good running on that Glass Bowl turf last night.

Haven't seen him play and don't know anything about him, but his stats remind me of another Toledo HS player I did see play - Chuck Webb. Don't want to make any comparisons beyond that.

They played tonight. Michael Warren rushed 19 times for 239 yards with 5 total TDs (4 rush, 1 rec.) in CC's 49-7 win..and Warren only played 1 series in the 2nd half before the backups came in.

Michael Warren ran the ball 46 times for 390 yards to go along with 4 TDs last night against a very athletic Lima Senior team. Also played defense in CC's win to move to 10-0 on the season. Warren takes it to a whole other level in the playoffs so watch out for him these next few weeks.

Warren is the frontrunner to win Ohio's prestigious Mr. Football award.

Now....I don't think there's really any way to measure that. And he's not really in a major media market. Hopefully, a nice deep play-off by Central Catholic will remedy that but they're not going to sniff major media unless they get out of regionals. The game against Lima Senior wasn't exactly indicative that is a sure thing. Central needs to find themselves a defense some year, particularly that they will most likely be playing up a division next year.
