RE: Cowboys
Looks like Dak is the solid starter.
Romo is a great backup.

Boys struggled a lot in game. Awesome win for Dallas.
Looks like we are on our way to playoffs.

It's a good thing I said it, because they obviously drew inspiration from it. lol

I went to the game Sunday night. First time I've been to AT&T stadium and all I can say is you just have to go to know what it's like. Amazing experience and the Cowboys won to boot.

Unbelievable game today!
Boys pulled through!
Full team effort today, even from Dez.

Time to start thinking about playoffs.

The 'boys are bad to the bone. No getting around it.

Likely headed to a Superbowl or NFC championship game at worst.

There is just too much talent on the O-line and running game. Dak is playing at a probowl level, and the defense is solid all around.

Question is, who is the rookie of the year? Dak or Ezekiel?

That's a tough call.

Co ROY perhaps?

RE: Cowboys
They also just got better.

Romo will officially be the backup QB starting next week. I think its clear now they will not be pulling Dak in the middle of a historic winning streak.

No matter how this plays out, they are deep at the QB position.

This team is just overflowing with talent. I know its going to be a tough admission for some make, but its a credit to the front office. This is not a fluke, this is a very well built team from the ground up.

I suspected this was a playoff caliber team all summer. I thought they had the talent and had finally drafted a backup QB in Dak....... but I didn't see THIS coming.

The boys are winning but they are not winning impressively...

If you look at the record it is impressive but watching the games (Outside of Cleveland and Chicago) it took a lot of good fortune to get some of these wins. They still have a ways to go especially on defense.

One of the dumbest posts of all time. They currently lead the NFL in point differential and average margin of victory (9.8). The are currently top 8 in scoring defense and top 5 in scoring offense.

Cowboys have been one of the most impressive teams of the entire 2016 season. Their defense has greatly exceeded expectations and has been top 10 most of the last month.

They simply don't have the talent on the DL to be an "elite" defense, so there is no point in expecting them to be.

The way this team is built, the defense just needs to be average to solid to give them a serious SB chance.

Sucks, but it will be Zeke. He's going to set RB records. Not, just rookie ones either.

Winning impressively, by modern day NFL definition, is exactly what the Cowboys have done the last eight games.

The days of beating everyone by two or three touchdowns are gone. Yes, the Cowboys have gotten a few good bounces this season but every team that has won a championship in the salary cap era got good bounces too.

Unlike eric, I didn't see this coming. After the Giants game I really thought we were headed for another 4-12 type season. With Romo hurt and looking every bit his age on the one series he did play in the preseason, I really thought we could be on the cusp of a couple of those top five pick type seasons until we found a QB, and lo and behold we already had one with a 4th round pick. The Cowboys insiders said all spring and summer that the organization loved Dak when he worked out for them, but I guess I had to see the proof on the field and he has certainly delivered. I knew Zeke was good but I had no idea he was this good. I'm grateful for the surprises this season because other than a couple of good regular seasons, it's been tough for a long time around here.

RE: Cowboys
There is so much more momentum for the team now.
Last year was definitely a bad year; I do not even think Jerry thought it was going to be as bad as it was.
QB situation is so much better now.
Potential SB team.
Let Romo get a ring, and he can retire or go to the Browns.
The older players, like Witten and Lee, are so good; hope this season ends on a high note for them.

RE: Cowboys
Last year was a bit deceiving.

They were adjusting early in the year to not having DeMarco Murray and it took the running game 5-6 weeks to find its stride. Most have already forgot they cut ties a over month into the regular season with their #1 RB Joseph Randal. Romo AND Dez Bryant going down exposed just how weak they were at backup QB, and they made the situation even worse by trading for and going all in on Matt Cassell (who had not been with the team the whole offseason and training camp)

They literally had the worst QB production in the NFL last year. But they also lost a lot of games by a single TD.

So the 4-12 looked bad on paper, but underneath they still were a very competitive team week to week. Even with ZERO QB production.

That's why I was pretty confident going into this season. The core of the team was still very solid and growing. Adding the talent they did at the skill positions (thanks to returning players and the draft) should have, on paper, made a HUGE difference.

And it has done just that.

The 4-12 finish made it possible to draft Ezekiel Elliott though, So I'm not complaining about it. lol

RE: Cowboys
I think we can expect them to add more talent on the defense next spring, and they have 2 VERY talented players in LB Jaylon Smith and DE Randy Gregory who could add serious talent all by themselves. Both are a question mark today, but both also have HUGE upside. Both players were considered top 10 talents before injury and suspensions.

They did hit on DL Malik Collins and CB Anthony Brown this year, and DE Charles Tapper could still become something after he recovers from injury. The staff was high on Tapper but he didn't get much of a chance this year due to his injury.

So they have lot of good prospects on defense, and another whole draft coming that they will take several more key defensive prospects.

Thriving young Offensive line, thriving young QB, thriving young RB, interesting prospects on defense. A front office that clearly knows how to draft real talent now.

Its hard not to like where this is going.....

Impossible to say right now.

Denver maybe. A few other possibilities.

If he lands in Denver and they keep that defense Romo will get a ring.
