I await NewMex RocketFan's always insightful analysis of what to look for this Saturday!

My hunch is that this game will come down to how well Fresno State's freshman QB plays. He is starting to show a little more touch on his passes downfield (didn't have a great game against Nebraska), but I'm more concerned about him keeping the ball on the read option more than he has in the first 2 games--different kind of QB than we've faced so far this season, so the D needs to prepare. If we can make life miserable for him, I like our chances even better. Their D should be tough--so should ours. Woodside is the potential difference maker IMO then.

Rockets need to play for 4 quarters. Can't count on the other team shooting themselves in the foot. Improvement needed for special teams and running game.

Why thank you bc3128!
I have filed my game preview article with Rocket Digest earlier this evening. Additionally, I just submitted a supplement article on the importance of playing Fresno State. I trust you will enjoy them both.

Their QB is talented but a bit raw. Their oline is ok, but not great. To me that equals enough pressure on the pocket and containment of the run game to get their kid making some mistakes, taking some hits, forcing some throws. I think they may have some moments where they have success against our D, but I don't see a lot of sustained drives. As long as we are focused and play smart we should be OK.
