Tough loss. Will be a long season without him. Hopefully he can get a medical redshirt for this year.

I've always said that TH will likely be the most successful QB in Old Dominion history. Maybe not the best QB, but the most successful.
Now I'm wondering if Jared Brown will be the most successful PK in Old Dominion history.

I have to put the blame squarely on Bobby for this situation though. How does a coach of a FBS football program with 80+ scholarships let his team get into a situation with only ONE kicker?!! Guys get hurt. This is as stupid as not having a backup QB and having to run literally every single play because the guy behind center can't throw. This is not what "Aiming High" looks like.

Not sure why Rudy didn't get t kick Saturday, but I'll give the coaches the benefit of the doubt and say that after watching him in practice and in warmups they didn't have the confidence in him to make even a 32-yarder. This says as much about the constant "hyping" of ODU football by Wilder and the Pilot as it does the abilities of the kid.

And, yes, tryouts are in the offing, and soon.

We also only have 1 punter.

Seems to me it was the result of some unforeseen circumstances. After last season, we had Cervi, Fraser, Davis, Kirtley, Pulisic, Segars, Ziffer all as Juniors or below on the roster with Cate coming in.

We've had Walsh, King, Cervi, Fraser, Pulisic, Segars, and Ziffer all transferred out in the past 2 years, 5 of them in the last year.

I'm not sure the circumstances behind them leaving (in terms of bitterness or not), but you can't keep 8 punters and kickers on the roster.

UTSA, Charlotte, UMASS, FIU, and UTEP are all winnable games. Maybe we drop 1 or 2 of those and steal a game vs. Florida Atlantic.

I don't think they all transferred out, some just quit football. At least their social media pages make it look like they still are at ODU.
