Next tidbit...
The Vegas experts have the over/under set higher than any other game in college football this weekend.
85 is the number.

The wise guys aren't far off too often.
Should be lots o' fireworks Saturday.

Very confident group over on the UNC board. Their aggregate predictions have UNC winning in a walkover by 3-6 TDs. I think the game will be much closer, especially if JMU has success running the ball and doesn't turn the ball over.

I honestly think we can score on them, but our D won't be able to stop them often enough to pull off the upset. Still, I won't be surprised if we win or lose by a single score.

Yet we have already heard and will continue to hear this week that UNC is playing a small school.

We not only have more undergrads their campus is only 7 acres bigger than ours.

At the rate JMU buys up nearby Harrisonburg properties, this should change too in a year or so.

Maybe it already has since my data is somewhat dated.

I really find that hard to believe. Having walked what I thought was most of UNC I would've easily guessed JMU to have more acreage. With that being said, have you ever seen the acreage the little old Sweet Briar College has, enormous to say the least.

RE: JMU @ UNC talking points
I watched the Mike Houston show. He seems pretty impressed with UNC.

the 22 point spread seems about right. Carolina looked pretty explosive to me. Our defense was so bad last year and we have played no one to this point. It is hard to know what we have on the defensive side of the ball. By year end, I think Trott and Houston will get it right, I just not sure we are there yet.

Offensively, I agree with LH, I think we will move the ball. We just wont be able to keep up with Carolina.

This game is intriguing to me. A great measuring stick and an opportunity to see how Houston approaches this game. Unlike Mickey, I believe Houston will be playing to win. Obviously, we would need a lot to go right for us to even be in this game. Turnovers, special teams, etc. I dont think we get enough.

Yes I have. A while back I researched which were the biggest and smallest schools in Virginia based on number of students and acreage of the campus. Sweet Briar was unique in that it had the smallest number of students but the biggest campus in the state. I assumed that had something to do with their equestrian programs. They have well over 3,000 acres.

We are small. Small is as small does. A fact that keeps escaping many of the sycophants on this board. "Small" is a perception- as long as our "national" efforts are led by "regional" minded leadership it's where we'll continue to reside.

UNC will be missing two DL for our game. Might help us establish the run.

This may change coach Houston ' s strategy. He was hinting in the press conference that JMU would avoid running up the middle and attack the edges away from the agile 300 lb d-lineman. Nazair is one of those.

An upset is brewing?

I don't know if UNC does this for every game, but they did the same thing the last time we played there.

No rabbit in the hat at Chapel Hill. Hope it is competitive, but if Illinois spanking is any indication, game won't be a close one. Yeah, I know the Illini have issues. Not enough to skew the result though.
