Attendance Projection for KANSAS game
We had 42,876 at the SEMO game.

Kansas had 28,467 at their game against Ohio

What will be the attendance for the Kansas game at The Liberty Bowl?

Saturday 11AM and on ESPNU.

I am thinking 46,000

RE: Attendance Projection for KANSAS game
11am kickoff + Mississippi and UT have day games will hurt.

Playing a Big12 team and the Memphis State Day promotion will help.

Rain- 29,595
Rain chances talked up in forecast but no rain- 40,456
Low rain chances and no rain- 46,896

100% depends on the weather. Could be 45,000. Could be 20,000. Just depends on the weather

Ole Miss and Bama is a 2:30 game...UT is playing a weak non-conference game, Ohio, at 11. If it isn't raining, I would hope 45k.

I'm hoping for 42K+. I'm expecting about 33K. I hate to make excuses, but the timing will hurt the attendance.

We all know if it rains, fans will stay home. That's just Memphians for ya. I've never understood it. Drive around sometimes during the winter and the place seems like a ghost town.

Why? The temps are better, the opponent is better. What is more fun to do at 11:00? still have plenty of day left to go to bar, races, movie, bowling, whatever. Did the 43k at the opener have a bad time?
I'm hoping we put 50,000 plus in the stadium and an ass whipping on Kansas.

Why? Because fewer people will attend the game,

There were 6 to 9 thousand $5 tickets sold last week, you think they have sold the same number of single game tickets as that for an 11 am kickoff?

Ya, less than opener... most families with a kid 5-12 will be late or not there... they'll be playing football, soccer, etc...

Idk, personally I love an 11:00 kickoff. Wake up, hit Cracker Barrel for a big breakfast, grab a 12 pack and head for the stadium for some football. Hopefully some of those 6-9 thousand enjoyed themselves and will come and join me.

Night games at the University of Memphis are always better attended, it is a fact.
