With 5 wins last year and pre season polls picking us 5th in the AAC East, a win over normally mediocre NCST is not going to all of a sudden start getting us votes.
I will say that NCST is better than South Carolina but a win over the Gamecocks and the SEC on their home field would be more likely to get some votes.
ECU can only take care of what it can take care of which at this point is winning the next two games if you want to make a legitimate run at being ranked. Beat South Carolina and VT on the road even though neither one is exactly a world beater this year and you probably sneak in at 23-24 in the polls.

A win against an FCS school and a ****** NC State school won't get anyone votes. We have to beat SoCar AND VaTech to even have a chance at cracking the 25

Nope. ECU hasn't done anything to deserve any votes. 4-0 and ECU falls somewhere between 23 and "others receiving votes". 6-0 puts ECU solidly in the top 25, but that's a long shot.
