Tulsa could have been in this game if they didn't make so many mistakes and took advantage of some opportunities. It was 6-3 very close to halftime.

they were going to get their arse kicked one way or the other

they dont' have the speed, depth, or anything else to hang with Ohio State

I say again, it was 6-3 late in the second. Don't shoot yourself in the foot and its likely still a game going into the fourth, even it's 23-3 or something like that. It's still possible to come back from that.

late in the second

teams like Ohio State can and do have close first halves against teams like tulsa...it happens all the time. The depth of Ohio State is what makes them Ohio State. Traditionally games like this are close in the first half (best case scenario) and then the blue blood ends up winning by 30.

You saw that today...

Depth my behind, all of Tulsa's errors were unforced late in the second quarter and two directly led to TD's. Even after their first of 3 turnovers, they got a kick return more or less into field goal range and fumbled it away. They could have at least lost respectfully.

It couldve been a little closer in the first half but we still wouldve gotten beaten by three or four tds.

I agree with C2, who actually watched the whole game. I still don't think we would've won the game, but we would've made it much more interesting.

I was surprised at how well Tulsa played for the 1st 27 minutes of the game, especially on defense. Of course, then the wheels came off.

At least we had no major injuries. Outside of Houston, I think the rest of Tulsa's AAC games should be really competitive. Nice to have a semi-respectable defense again!

Depth is a huge factor for Ohio State.

We played Ohio State well for almost all of 3 quarters a few years ago and was down only 2 points (I think if I remember right). The line depth they have is the huge determining factor. They rotate guys out of there so quick, the lines stay fresh, which makes the biggest differences and allows for the 4th quarter pull away they have in about all of these games.

There's no denying Ohio State has far broader and deeper talent than Tulsa, and are better coached. A mismatch in every way.

You can't beat anyone when you have 6 or 7 turnovers. We could have made it closer had we played a clean game but alas we did not.

RE: What's sad about Tulsa and Ohio State...
The coaching calls the last 3 minutes of the first half killed any momentum Tulsa had.......13-3 at halftime with no OSU offensive TD's is a win for Tulsa.....then they come out in the 2nd half feeling good, instead of thinking it was all wasted in the first half. NO one throws the ball with 20 seconds to go in the half on the opponents 25 yd line....terrible coaching call.
