THEY DID IT! NIU gave up 654 yards of offense to Boise State in the Poinsettia Bowl, TONIGHT They topped that allowing 658 to USF.

Maybe they weren't used to all the oxygen at sea level.

Is it too late to cancel the SDSU game? They have a good defense. We'll be lucky to end up with positive yardage.

I believe SD State has last year's Mountain West offensive, defensive and special teams players of the year all back.

Oh my. This scares the hell out of me. I fear this may be NIU's only shot at winning more than 2 games this year (and I don't think they stand a chance :( ).

UCF went winless after Bortles graduated. Hopefully that isn't our fate.

Our first defensive performance and then how our offense seemed like it was going to march right down the field had me hoping. Didn't take long for the wheels to come off and dash those hopes..

I am under a firm belief now that the Huskie players made a decision to sabotage the season on Carey, that is the only reasonable explanation. Yes they are not as talented, but I have never ever seen that type of body language from a team at any level before, even at minute 1 of the season. There is this new belief among players at all levels that their grievances have to be aired out for everyone to see, ie.e social media, sitting for anthem, not playing football games. It is just a different world of self-expression right now

I don't know if I'd go as far to say they intentionally made a conscious decision to sabotage anything. Makes it seem like they held clandestine team meetings or something to discuss "throwing" games. I think the universal dislike of Carey has become infectious among all of them and its just affecting their work ethic and attitude is all. They don't focus or pay attention to fundamentals (hence racking up penalties, missed blocking assignments, arm tackles, etc.) because that commitment comes from being inspired by a coach who is a good leader, which Carey is not.
