Marshall TD

Bad snap by Morgan State, Ty Tyler picks it up and goes 17 yards for the TD.

Morgan State 0
Marshall 63

Who will score more points, USM or Marshall? Will both teams shutout their opponents?

Inquiring minds gotsta know!

Both teams better also know these are worse than patsies, and don't get big heads 'cause there will be no more scrimmages...04-cheers

RE: Marshall vs Morgan State game thread
I left at halftime because of th storm rolling in. We definitely started slow.

Our DBs are a big concern imo.

Also think our RBs could be better. I agree, Pittman needs to be in the 2 deep.

Might be the same reason Butler and Watson didn't get as much playing time as Fr and So. If you don't practice well or hard for Doc during the week, you don't play as much or at all.

Maybe that's it, I'm not sure.

26,488 attendance tonight. Not bad considering we were playing the worst opponent in all of college football. Plus everyone knew it was going to rain.

Even though I had to watch the Facebook stream, the one thing that I liked there was no talking about Bristol Motor Speedway. No talking about the top 25 and gushing over the SEC, or other P5 conferences. They kept the focus on the game they were calling and not distracted by other things.

I was at the game, but the more I learn/hear about BeIn Sports, the more I like them.

I doubt kids are slacking that much in practice and off season etc and are that good. Something has gotta give with their evaluation of RB talent. Butler was a beast and probably our best RB at the time (minus Johnsons emergence), and Watson was getting more PT. Now Pittman is clearly our best RB, so it would need to be really bad in oractice for that superior of a talent to be 3rd and 4th string.

Some kids just don't like practice or practice as hard as they should/could. I always heard Watts was a poor practice player and just didn't like it. But he was incredible on Saturday's. As good as he was he most likely wouldn't have played as much under Holliday because of it.

Favorite stat of the game - Chase Litton only threw 16 passes, completing 13, but had 6 TDs and over 300 yards. I don't know if they make a QB rating high enough for that efficiency.

I have preached it about Litton before he even got here, and I put it on the record, I expect 30+tds and 4000 yards out of him this year with under 10 INTs. He will be on Rushmore of Marshall QBs before his time is done. Our Oline is solid as a rock, and our Offense is going to be pretty good this season and if our defense holds serve like the last 3 seasons, i think we have a top 25 type of season, and even brighter future next year.

That or maybe put them up against the 1989-1998 Prairie View A&M teams that lost 80 games in a row. Maybe Prairie View A&M would have ended their streak long before that then.

That's what I liked too last week while watching UTEP/NMST. They did a great job. When we got home last night we watched the game and it was great as I expected. Focus on the game. Halftime on the game. The game being played and its host school.

RE: Marshall vs Morgan State game thread
I live in upstate NY, so couldn't get down for this game, but have to say that the beIN Facebook stream broadcast and announcing was really great. I was really hesitant about beIN when the partnership was announced, and even more hesitant about a live Facebook stream, but consider me highly impressed. Between the two, and admittedly only having watched 1 broadcast so far, I would prefer we wean off of ASN and transition to a stronger partnership with beIN.
