#Hokies have lost more fumbles tonight (5) than any in any game during Frank Beamer's 29 seasons.

They will need time to learn Fuente's offense. Maybe 3-4 years to get the ball rolling. He may get run out of Blacksburg in that time span though.

You Fuente haters are ridiculous. His success wasn't all Lynch. That is craaaazy!
The TCU offense is a great system.
IMHO, Lynch benefited from Fuente more so than the other way around.
I wish Coach Fuente success. I really wanted him to kick the vols' a$$

I don't think 5 fumbles and one loss will derail Fuente.

That's okay. It'll just make it sweeter to watch Tenn when they inevitably take the gas pipe later in the season.

You expect a NASCAR fan to use Google Maps? Hell, the cars still use carburetors.

Actually they're fuel-injection now! Only took sixty years to catch on!

RE: TR :: VT @ TN - signs ...
I really hope this doesn't sound bitter because I respect everything Fuente did for this program, and what he inherited was really, really poor.

But this is a tough job. He's succeeding the only legend at VT, a man that made VT for all-time. Beamer was an outstanding recruiter, getting talent from DC/NoVA and VA beach areas to come to what is essentially West Virginia. I think Fuente is sneakily a pretty bad recruiter, but we'll see how his staff does there.

I don't know why Fuente's teams are always so heavily penalized. Seems counter-intuitive.

I really think it will take some time for Fuente to get his system in place. I wish him only the best.

you are right, the number of people to follow a legend and succeed is pretty small.

Where was it that NASCAR used to run the track "backward" each year? Was that Darlington?

I'm sure he will improve a bit and after a few seasons he'll do better but I don't ever see him winning 10 games a season at VT.

Tech kept putting the ball on the ground. They had TN flummoxed during the first quarter. After that, anytime they were trying to get themselves back into the game they fumbled. Better ball control and that's a different game.
