CMU is ranked 24th in FBS in all time winning percentage at .598 (603-399-36). Miami(OH) is the only G5 team with a better record. CMU offensive lineman was the #1 overall draft pick in the 2013 NFL draft.

They had some fantastic years with Brian Kelly and Lyle Jones. JJ Watt and Antonio Brown, arguably the best offensive and defensive players in the NFL played there.

Yawn, I remember Chris Johnson stomping a 408 all purpose yard mud hole in a vaunted Boise team. Beating cream puffs +1 tough team a year does not make you great. At least Boise HAS beaten some big teams though... Congrats to CMU on the top 25 win .

You think that bsu team with Taylor Tharp at the helm was vaunted? And I would compare bsu's cream puff schedule with any Mac teams or cusa ones like ECU. You think that cusa schedule was murderers row or something lol.

SoMiss & Marshall
heavy on partial qualifiers, JuCo transfers, and players many schools won't accept.

If there is a school that epitomizes the MAC and what the MAC is, it's Central Michigan.

And that is NOT an insult.

But CMU is in exactly the right conference for them.

CMU got a gift. Officials screwed up and admitted it this AM. OKST was hit with a intentional grounding call on its last play of the game when the clock ran out. The officials misinterpreted the rule and gave CMU an untimed down. The game should have ended per the rules. Tough for OKST. Nothing can be done about it now. Ouch.

CMU's Bowl record is horrible. The Chips have only been ranked twice in the AP Poll. This is their first win over a ranked team since Michigan State in the early 1990's.

CMU is never a warmup game. They have pretty good FB tradition...as do many of the MAC teams.

Winning percentage can be incredibly misleading.

Ok St got a gift. That last scoring touchdown that put them ahead of CMU had two holding penalties. The official threw the flag. Then after some discussions they said there was no penalty for holding. Replay showed there were multiple holdings.
