Our gates are a joke. It's like they're run by CMU flunkies.

It was beautiful tonight. Even the end zones were filled nicely.

I saw lots of empty seats on the pull back shot. Looked accurate. Had an estimate from stands of 25k

We are usually pretty accurate unlike other schools.

Anything above 20K (real butts-in-seats) in the MAC is good nowadays, sad as that may seem.

Even NIU only averaged 13K on the season when they won the MAC a couple years ago.

Makes me wonder if the 30-35K tallies of the 1990s will ever come back. Entertainment options are far more prevalent now than even 15-20 years ago.

Toledo had a good crowd.

I remember one season when I was at WMU... late 90's when we broke the attendance record twice in one season at over 40k... HOW THE F that happened I will never know...

It was like 35K or 36K. And I think it was twice but over a couple seasons, not the same season.

It did... just how they accurately counted all the people on the hills and such... seemed a little suspect. Capacity of Waldo is just over 30k... so where they crammed those extra 10k was a little interesting... That place rocked those few times Marshall came to town... (crap.. .it may have only been once)... but holy crap I was at one of the games and it was more people than I have ever seen since... VaTech and UVA at home were close in the early 2000's... Just hope this winning brings those type of crowds back to Waldo.

I think your right... it was back to back seasons under Darnell if I am remembering correctly... long time ago.

I think our records were against Indiana State and CMU. We had a nice crowd against Marshall as well.

IIRC, the attendance for Virginia and Va Tech were underwhelming for P5 (BCS, then) opponents. Like low/mid 20s, I think.

I think there's some restriction now about selling standing room only tickets for the hills... that will prevent us from getting anywhere near the old record...

VaTech and UVA were "OK", definitely could have been better. The Communiversity games against Youngstown State and Indiana State had really big crowds, circa 99 and 00.

The real Flush wasn't in school back then. WAY before. 03-shhhh

Google the MAC attendance records, you're quite off. VaTech wasn't even CLOSE to a sellout, Marshall was packed. I was at both.

Virginia was a good crowd but again, no sellout.

Didn't the fire marshall restrict that for the MSU game last year?

Virginia was very underwhelming. So was the score of the game.
