Joe Fortenbaugh on 670SCORE - (For those that do...NIU mention....)
Joe has a radio show in SF and follows CFB & NFL for those who like to wager...He's on every week at 7:40am on Mulley/Hanley. Some picks hit home this week:

He loves USF -15 vs our beloved Huskies. (Mentioned the WY debacle.)

He loves SDSU giving 7 vs CAL.....Says SDSU RB Pumphery will run all day vs CAL.

Not complaining what STF did as far as scheduling. Beating Cal Poly doesn't get you anywhere...It's just ironic we're catching BOTH... USF & SDSU at a time when they're the best they've been in a few years.

And for those that do , he also likes:

W KY taking the points vs Bama
Miami -24
T Tech +3

Chargers
NYGiants
Seattle

Found it odd that cfn is only predicting a 6 point USF win

Not sure if this will ease anybody about tonight's game, and maybe the goldsheet writer's have lost their mind. But they have NIU as their most confident pick, and did go 4-0 last week on their "key releases" (one of them being an outright win prediction for WMU)

11 NORTHERN ILLINOIS over *S. Florida

Late CKO Score Forecast:

NORTHERN ILLINOIS 28 - *S. Florida 27

(Saturday, September 10)
Northern Illinois is looking to bounce back from a disappointing OT loss at Wyoming last week, and figure HC Rod Carey will have his veteran team ready to do just that. The Huskies start sixteen 4th or 5th-year players, including veteran QB Drew Hare, who threw for 329 yds. with 3 TDs and no ints. last week at Laramie, and now owns a 37-6 TD-interception ratio in his career. Sr. 6-4 WR Kenny Golladay picked up where he left off last season when he had 1129 yds. rec. and 10 TDs. Last week he not only caught 10 passes for 144 yds. and 2 TDs, he was incorporated into the NIU rushing game, carrying 6 times for 82 yards, including a 34-yard TD run. Not all of the Huskies' playmakers are on offense, either, as CB Shawun Lurry led the nation in interceptions with 9 last year, and broke up 15 passes. Lurry is from West Palm Beach and is one of five Floridians in the defensive two-deep for Northern Illinois. Respect USF's 11-3 spread mark last 1+ seasons, but Bulls could be without their top rusher, Marlon Mack (1381 YR LY), who suffered a possible concussion last week. And, oh yes, can't forget NIU is 15-4 as a road dog since late 2007!
