Trump's been a celebrity for decades, and both he and Perot are billionaires, so that helps in getting attention.

But I'll be the first to admit that Johnson lacks that certain fire and conviction to really work a room like Trump, Bernie, Ron Paul, etc., can. He's more of a behind the desk guy than a TV stage guy. And it did hurt him, I believe. I like Gary, but his campaign has underwhelmed.

Of course, that's what the republicans are supposed to be about. But since the neocons took over, they seem to have lost the plot.

So which is worse--republicans who are supposed to favor those ideas but don't, or democrats who make no pretense of supporting those ideas?

I don't know what it has to do with a third party not working though. If this is the metric for a party not working?..then none of them work. Johnson just happens to be the one making the gaffe now.

I've also never heard it pronounced quite the way the questioner pronounced it. It may have been the right way, but its not the way you normally hear it in the US.

That's one of those stupid gotchas that really isn't (at least from the part of the video I saw).

3rd party would only work if Donald Trump ran as the nominee for the God-Emperor Party.

3rd parties aren't viable because we have a winner take all setup that structurally lends itself to centrist parties.

That has nothing to do w/ gaffes.
