Nyce. Yeah there are plenty if eateries, breweries, and live music scene in Avondale. And you're not far from Downtown Birmingham (5 mins) with lots of live music and pubs.

In order of awesomeness

Lunch/Dinner: Post Office Pies, Saw's, Melt, Hot Diggity Dog, Fancy's on Fifth (pricier), Wooden Goat (Pricier)

Drinks: Saturn, Parkside, 41st Street Aircraft Sales, Avondale Brewery

Coffee: Satellite (Same building as Saturn)

Breakfast: Rowe's

Hope you'll return for the C-USA Basketball tournament!! We have really enjoyed our time in Birmingham.

I second the vote for Saw's BBQ, the best I've ever had.

Hot and Hot Fish Club is outstanding. http://www.hotandhotfishclub.com

I used to go to Birmingham at least once a month of business.

Voted best place to have lunch in Birmingham. Everyone I have taken to this place has returned for seconds and thirds. The best chicken and waffles bar none. It is about 5 mins from Avondale.
