He verballed a while back. Very fast end to end from what I read earlier. Good length too.

So where does that leave the available scholarship situation?

Hawks are 1 under from what it seems since Grundy left. I wonder if a walk on can get that money? Verbal commits site has the Hawks with 3 more grants to give so there's opportunity for you to get that BIG that you want. I know you 70's and you're old school like me...always looking for good bigs. There's opportunities there. I tell you what though, Evan Cole looks to be a nice modern day 4 man and that kid can absolutely go. He's nice so getting that coveted "true big" would be the ticket because we have really good 4 men for the future with Devonte, Elmore and Cole. My gut tells me that a few of them will spend time at the post though unless another "true big" that can play is recruited.

I was old in the 70s. You should see me now!

I get it that Keatts is looking for guys who can run the floor, so that means any bigs we get will probably only be SO "big". But unless the goal is one-and-done in the postseason, at some point size matters and you have to have more than a team full of point guards and wings to go up against other tournament teams.

I have faith that Keatts knows what he's doing. I'm just hoping that the last scholarship lands another bigger guy.

I also trust in our Coach K but I remember what a history professor (and also a big backer of athletics) said to me - "you need that big sombitch in the middle". I think that still holds true today more often than not.
