Now, I'm not saying that we are in or even on the final list. What I am saying is that the news from ESPN has resulted in extreme self flagellation on our part. I have heard 10 different ways that we don't measure up to the Big12 or even the schools that somehow made the cut. This is silly, we are just as good of a candidate as at least 5 current Big12 members and we are probably the best or second best candidate of the schools that applied for Big12 membership.

I AM NOT saying get your hopes up, I am saying stop doing our enemies job for them.

My stance is that we are probably out and if so, the Big 12 made a big mistake, just like they did when they turned down Louisville, (and NO we are not ACC bound)

I don't understand why Rudd won't confirm we are out. Jeff Compher did for ECU. Did not ECU have the same NDA as Memphis? Of course, people can interpret NDAs differently. But what is the Big 12 going to do, if Rudd said what Compher said? Sue us? Retract their non-invitation? Just don't get it.

Is Conference X expanding...or just accepting applicants? Did Rudd ever publicly confirm we were being considered?

In all likelihood, the ACC caught wind of our big $e$$x offer to the B12 and contacted UofM. With Louisville's enthusiastic support along with the other ACC basketball-first schools, a deal is in the works for us to join the ACC in all sports. But, as the saying goes, a bird in the hand…so until ACC is confirmed, we continue to play ball with the B12, who have never said anything about finalists or invitees or who's out or in. It is probable that if we are not on the invitee list, if there is such a thing, because we are already in.
