Ryan Lochte Gets 10 Month Suspension
Plus some other penalties, including a fine. Seems excessive if you ask me.

Very excessive. NFL only doles out two months for sexual assault, and that's new.

A swimmer lies about a "robbery" and it's a federal case. Hillary lies about everything from the simple, like how she got her name to the important, like handling classified national secrets and everyone just shrugs. Whatever!

The funny thing is a couple weeks back there were some journalists who wrote that white America should be ashamed for the vitriol over Colin Kaepernick while not being so outraged by Lochte's behavior. A former co-worker of mine (a BLM supporter) posted some gif around that time talking about how poor Colin has lost endorsements while this white guy is getting away with no penalty. Wonder if these so-called journalists will retract their stories now?

Which federal court did this go to?

Definitely seems excessive. But not nearly as overboard as 4 months for the two who never made any statements to the police. They are getting penalized for being in the same car as Lochte and Feigin.

Because we hold sport and its athletes, owners, clubs, leagues, etc to a very high standard.

Tiger cheats on his wife and some golf purists still don't respect him yet. Tom Brady has balls deflated and he literally does get a federal case. Donald Sterling is found to be racist by dubious means and he gets a lifetime ban. Pete Rose gambles...lifetime ban. Players do steroids to get an advantage, no hall of fame regardless of how good you were. Michael Phelps smokes weed, suspended 3 months. Lance Armstrong does some shady ****, stripped of his whole legacy. Colin Kaepernick sits during the national anthem and people call for him to be cut, fined, shamed, etc. Ray Rice doesn't get a second chance. Michael Sam is disliked from day one. The list goes on and on.

How would this election look if we handled politics with the same vigor?

Actually we DO know how people think of Donald Trump when held to the standards of the sports world. There's a nice copy of a $3.76 check written for the USFL that's still not cashed and he's never sniffed the NFL owner status that he wanted.

As for Hillary...she'd have been penalized several times over by now. Cheating got Bill Belichik a $500,000 fine and the Patriots organization $250,000. The way she colluded with the DNC and media to keep Bernie down would've easily gotten that. Funneling money pretty much ended SMU.

Hell, it even applies to journalism. ESPN is held to so high of a standard that the entire country skewers them for not meeting it. You don't see that with MSNBC or Fox.

I think its refreshing to see public figures being held to higher standards. He embarrassed his team and his country by lying and left his teammates in limbo while he was safe in the US. Lying is something we do not take seriously anymore, see our presidential election for examples.
