Here's a pic I saw on Twitter of OU's new scoreboard. Notice the flagpoles flanking the sides of the three in the middle (which are for the American flag, and most likely the Oklahoma state flag and B12 flag). Looks to me like they've installed 12 poles to represent the conference teams.

Reaching.. It would not be hard to add 2 more or more poles for flags.

Did they leave two poles up when they went down to 10?

Your conspiracy is that the grounds crew and facility administration at OU has confirmation that the Big12 is expanding when no one else does?

I think it's this simple:

"We put 12 flagpoles in the design because that gave us the most flexibility for the two most likely scenarios, staying at 10 or going to 12, with the least cost, upfront as opposed to adding two more flagpoles later on. If the Big 12 expands to 12, then we're ready. If it stays at 10, we'll just put two Big 12 flags on the ends", said Oklahoma board member Chauncey P. Mellonwasher.

Here it is in 2014

Texas Tech left the two poles needed for the Big 12 up when then conference dropped to 10. They just added two more TTU flags.

Move along . . . nothing to see here.

Hmmm....

Ah, but what you're missing is that the top center portion of the scoreboard looks like what? An "M", so it seems Memphis is still in it. And if you tilt your head it looks like a "B". So, BYU, or maybe it's for Bearcats. I'm going with Memphis and BYU/Cincy for the two slots.
