The Game
I only listened to this game. Now I get to watch it. So far, in the first quarter, we looked good. Different offensive formations and Drew Hare UNDER CENTER. Never saw that before.

Watch the game and look to see how good/bad we were.

New holder, elevation, new coordinators, new lines on both sides.

The sky isn't falling. Number 4 on offense was awesome. So was 19...

RE: The Game
Another reasonable post. Uncharacteristic for the Dog Pound.

My biggest problem was the number of penalties and inability to properly cover kick offs and punts which is a sign of a poorly coached or undisciplined team. So for me the jury is still out and lets see if the coaches can right the ship

Feel the same way, that and the run game/o-line. Needs to get better. Pretty much over the loss already and looking forward to see if they IMPROVE this week, which I think we will see.

RE: The Game
Wyoming ball on there 18 yard line with 1:09 to play
They go to the NIU 30 yard line with 06 to play - Wyoming had 15 yards in penalties in that drive.
Terrible pass coverage and when the QB took off he had a lot of room to run.
Just once I would like to see the other team go 3 and out in that situation.

RE: The Game
Blake was open behind everyone on the first play of OT3 but the pass was batted down.

Also, we had the wide receiver screen to Blake set up perfectly on our last possession of regulation but Hare threw behind him. We scored anyway of course but maybe we score with 2 minutes left instead of 1 and that makes a difference.

Did Jeff Hill play at all? I don't remember seeing him.

RE: The Game
The participation chart in this week's game notes says Hill did not play FWIW. That chart is not always accurate. I don't remember seeing him.

RE: The Game
Defense was getting penetration and hitting the RB in the backfield or at the point of attack, but was not wrapping them up or just arm tackling.

RE: The Game
Just finished watching it last night. It didn't look quite as bad as I thought it would. Obviously the high number of penalties was annoying, and we missed some tackles. Plus the missed field goal and fumble by Hare. But it's not like we were overmatched in speed or ability, it seemed a very even game. Hill got his yards but we knew that would happen, he didn't go off though. Both teams did better against the run than the pass. We gave the QB too much room to run and have to clean up coverage on special teams.

Biggest concern is whether somebody besides Golladay can step up, and whether we can get more pressure on the QB or at least knock a few passes down.
