Again, only the old guard understand to full extent of the situation. If this is where we have to be, then we make the best of it. USM in particular had a long history with current AAC schools, so I am sure they feel it more than MU or the other old guard. Newer school to the conference can call us on it as much as they want to, but that is coming from individuals whom have not experience the free fall of what CUSA was, in 1.0 version or 2.0 version.

If CUSA is playing the AAC in bowls, then the AAC is playing CUSA in the same bowl. They have like 1-2 P5 games and so do we.

I'm not for staying at all if we get a chance to go but I'm not throwing these guys under the bus to make my point. To poll voters Tulane = FIU= UNT=SMU=etc etc They don't give you one iota more credit for beating #127 Tulane over #128 Charlotte (just example).

What choice do I have. You said if you found out Marshall was trying to get in the AAC and failed you'd be ok but if they didn't even try you'd pull your donations blahblahblah. Well this says they gonna try. So it doesn't matter fail or succeed at this point and constant whining about ODU from a butthurt Marshall fan will not change the mind of the AAC if they'd rather have ODU and USM.

What I do know is that I'd feel a lot better about being in CUSA for the long term if that's the way it has to be if I didn't talk a bunch of **** about the other teams in the league and end up right there on their level. Marshall's trying, it's time for you to keep your word and see what shakes out.

As a Marshall fan, I want in the AAC.
Only team I care about in the current CUSA is Southern Miss (who should be in the AAC with us) and I could see ODU growing into something, they just aren't ready yet in football. But out of anyone else, I can see them.

I know the lineup. But if you aren't in the top 3, you're playing CUSA or MAC at the same bowls you're doing it from here. In CUSA, the top 1 or 2 can get a P5 game and the rest are vs AAC, MAC, and Sunbelt. I'm not arguing it isn't a better bowl schedule. I'm saying on average you're gonna be in the same bowls you would have been in CUSA.

EXACTLY.

Bowl opponents are not even comparable.

Yes beating Tulane carries more weight than beating ODU, Charlotte or F_U. Doesn't mean Tulane has a better team or program, but their brand is more recognized and more respected.

Also I am keeping my word. I will maintain my donations.
