I recommend most of you to not watch the NIU vs. USF game. with the predictions for the score, most of you will be depressed, stressed, anxious, and probably drink too much.

Heart Attacks, Strokes and DUIs will increase drastically for NIU "Fans"

The opposite. If people have high expectations of great play and a win and what happens is what we think will happen, that's when they'll be really depressed and suicidal. If you expect a big loss and that's what happens, sure you'll feel like crap, but it was expected and is no surprise.

So true, Klake. Whatever happened to just enjoying the game? The crazy part is if Hare does not fumble The Huskies win the game and all the whiners are rejoicing. Like all these guys that wanted Cole fire – he was so bad at big 10 school hired him.

Hired him to be an analyst. I agree that people should try to enjoy the games despite the outcome, but don't think using Cole's job offer does much to discredit his critics.

Of course being hired by a Big 10 head coach discredits those critics. Who knows more football?

He was hired as an analyst, not a coach. Not sure what you don't understand. It means the genius BIG coach agreed that he is not suited to be a coach. An analyst is a far cry from an offensive coordinator.

RE: Recommendation
As an analyst, Cole can watch film of games and practice and provide input on the overall direction of the team, including the game plan. He is, however, not allowed to have a hands-on coaching role, interacting with players on the football field.

I kind of have to watch if I'm at the game in person. I'll just have to drink a lot after the game.

Not sure what you don't understand, cowboy. No coaching positions open at this late date but Fitz values Cole's input, experience, knowledge
enough to bring him on board.

Exactly, if he was thought to be a good coach he would be coaching somewhere. He is not listed on NU's coaching staff on their website which leads me to believe it is a volunteer gig. I don't personally know the guy or have anything against him, but it seems pretty clear no one thinks enough of his coaching ability to offer him a job as a coach. People do not get fired for doing their job well.

If it is a volunteer gig it is a smart move on his part. I wish him nothing but the best.

Another alternative which some friends of mine like to do is to drink yourself into a stupor BEFORE the game. That way, you're too oblivious to comprehend it if the Huskies get an a**kicking. And, when they sober up enough after the game to understand what happened on the field, they've got such a bad hangover, they don't care anyway.

This is a GREAT alternative! I may have to try this prior to my work day to see if I can get through the day stress-free (or just not caring). Then, I may have to do it again before I try to get my job back.

I hear ya on that one! I'm trying to be optimistic and drink after the game because I'm hoping that I would be sober to watch us win the game.

Yea, that's a great idea! Low stress.
