I can promiss you GSU would leave the SBC as soon as KSU joined the SBC the same as GT would leave the ACC if we were admitted.

You see potential while ignoring facts. They have no money...at all. Do not even have a football operations building. Thye converted a receiving dock to use as a weightroom. They cant fill an 8330 seat stadium even when winning 10 games. You could count the games we have played that would fit in their stadium on one hand.

and...

You dont live here.

So your pts checkmate Vince Dooley too? Just saying Ga St blocking Kennesaw St makes little sense with regards to Atlanta's allegiances and recruiting potential. Keeping them down wont get Ga St in the ACC.

Blocking them? Keeping them down? LOL

Nobody is keeping them down except themselves.

And who says we will ever get in the ACC?

Do you know what an analogy is?

O O

____

Ga St going to the ACC is beyond laughable, but you are pushing for it but deny it. Enough said.
I am pushing for it? When did that happen?
One of us has hit his head...

I'll hang u and listen 07-coffee3

The idea that Ga St would even be admitted to the ACC is what you're analogy was. Kennesaw St would be in the Sun Belt if Ga St wasn't. So Ga St tore up FCS in attendance when it was a CAA school? Also laughable.

An analogy is not quite the same as advocating.

We were in the top 20 in attendance in both our years in FCS

And KSU would be in the SBC if GSU was not? El oh el!

Benson suggested about 400000 schools and none were in Marietta

You're nothing if not entertaining

You and FJ and David St need to stop playing NCAA Football The SIMS. You cant just make things so by speaking then. LOL. We have 53k students and just bought a MLB stadium that will be a football stadium in 7 months. We have been to a bowl game. We have a $300M development plan rewriting the southern part of downtown. There are actionable things occurring at GSU football wise. We are not afraid about KSU being raised up. I am telling you there is nothing in to tell us that they will rise up. I cannot remember ever seeing a Kennesaw State sweatshirt or bumper sticker. There level of alumni support is approximately where GSU was in 1988 or 1989.Hell, Mercer would be a better bet and has better support.

You must get out to Marietta and beyond.

This board lacks diversity in thought most of the time. Just posters trying to protect their own interests and repress others. Kennesaw St has potential in fb whether posters want to believe it or not. Atlanta doesnt care about FCS, where Kennesaw is now, and doesn't care about the Belt unless it gets elevated in the minds of locals. One way to do that is with local rivalries.

No. Panama, you can't read or do math. The question was, where would Ga State go, period. I will help you.

If KSU received a SBC invite within, 5 years, 8 years, 10 or 15 years, where will Ga State go. The answer.....nowhere. So stand up Panama ....scan the horizon...and see the future. 04-cheers

So hey guy that doesn't understand anything. The only way KSU gets an invite to a conference GSU has been in is as we exit. How do I know? It's happened before! Why would any conference invite a school from a market they already have covered? And I have seen the future and it's being built at 755 Hank Aaron Drive to the tune of $300M. Only a person suffering from delusions would think that KSU is at our level in any category. But like I said if you want to share a conference with them and North Florida and UWF, have at it.

Is the new Atlanta Braves stadium, SunTrust Park, in Cobb County, capable of hosting college football? Panama might be totally deflated if true. That stadium has several college baseball contests already scheduled. The surrounding entertainment development needs more stadium events after baseball season. Ga St benefitted from a Braves stadium, so it would be poetic justice if Kennesaw benefitted too.

Yes because I hate GS. Not because they couldn't move up. You're amazing. I have presented you with with valid evidence that KSU is nowhere near ready to move up to FBS now and likely ever. The main things they lack are money and interest. But you and NoDak keep at it. All the best with getting the Braves to let you use their stadium for football...lol.

LOL ....Panama thinks Georgia State owns the Atlanta Metro and has veto power over the rest of the Sun Belt.

Comparison

................... Georgia State .....................Kennesaw State

Established:.............1913........................................1963

Enrollment:.........53,000 (32,000 downtown).............36,428

Endowment:........ $186 million................................$36 million

Athletic Dept:...... 1956.............................................1983

Distance between: 18 miles with Ga Tech in between them, and UGA 70 miles to the East

Baseball:

Ga State started in 1966, team was dormant half the time until 1992. Major success: 2009 CAA Champ. Home games played, 1,092 seat Panther Stadium.

Kennesaw State started in 1995. Major successes: 1996 National Championship and stayed perennial power in Div II. In Division I, defeated No. 8 Ga Tech in 2011. In 2014, the Owls defeated Florida State in Tallahassee to move on to the Super Regional. Home games played in 1,200 seat Stillwell Stadium.

Football:

Georgia State started in 2010 in FCS. FCS record, 10 wins and 23 loses. in FBS since 2013 with 10 wins and 39 loses.

Kennesaw State started in 2016 in FCS and finished the season with 8 wins and 3 loses.

KSU almost has the same amount of wins as Ga State accomplished in three years in the FCS.

Friday, August 30, 2018, the Georgia State Panthers host the FCS Kennesaw State Owls

Basketball:

Ga State started basketball in 1963. First winning season in 1976. Play in GSU arena 3,684 seats. Geogia State has been to the NCAA tournament three times, 1991, 2001 and 2015. Made to the third round in 2015 losing to Xavier

Kennesaw State started basketball in 1985 in NAIA - 145 W 122 L; NCAA DII in 1984 through 1995, 198 W 124 L; NCAA DI record 96 W 242 L. Play in KSU Convocation Center 4,600 seats. 2004 Division II National Champs.

Since 2005 NCAA Div I play

Ga State's record is 192 W 199 L and Kennesaw State's record 108 W 257 L

Note:

As a Division II school, Kennesaw State won five national championships in four sports: Baseball (1996), Men's Basketball (2004), Women's Soccer (2003) and Softball (1995, 1996).

It appears that KSU has had more athletic success over the years than Ga State.

Georgia State should embrace a Kennesaw State rivalry. It will bring more attention and money to both schools.

That sounds reasonable to me.

I don't think GA Southern will ever embrace GA State as a rival. Their true rival continues to be App St, from their days together dominating the SoCon.

I believe UWF will do the same for South Alabama and Troy. There are a lot of UWF alumni between Mobile and Tallahassee. There are also a lot of Troy alumni betwen Mobile and Tallahassee. Plus a UWF invite sets up a nicel rivalry with UNF/FCGU invite to the conference down the road.

A UWF invite would be beneficial to South Alabama, Troy and Georgia State.

A UNF invite would be beneficial to South Alabama, West Florida,Troy, Georgia State, Ga Southern, and Coastal Carolina

So the news that Liberty got a waiver to start the FBS transition means that Kennesaw St can go too. They have more work to do, but it is possible now, not dependent on the Sun Belt.

Sure, all they have to do is show the NCAA that since they have 100k students paying tuition, with most of those having no overhead as online students, to foot the costs of upgrading.

In other words: I really think this Liberty thing is a special case one-off, that is being vastly overblown/exaggerated as a "new way" for FCS programs stuck without a FBS invite.

In a recent Marietta Daily Journal article, new Kennesaw St President Olens stated he wanted to play UGA and GT starting in 2021, wanted to expand the football stadium, and wanted to add sports. That sure sounds like he's satisfied with Big South football.

I don't think KSU is angling for the SEC or ACC but probably CUSA ....to join Ga State. 05-stirthepot

Basic economic forecast.

Sun Belt fans of every school would welcome a chance to travel to ATL to play Ga State and Kennesaw State in alternating years.

2020 Kennesaw State Football schedule

1. Alabama Birmingham
2. @ Troy
3. Louisiana Monroe
4. Coastal Carolina
5. @ South Alabama
6. Appalachian State
7. @Georgia Southern

Basic economic forecast.

Sun Belt fans of every school would welcome a chance to travel to ATL to play Ga State and Kennesaw State in alternating years.

Happens every single time:

fans of new move-up/new start-up programs (like S Alabama football) love nothing more than pretending that they get to walk through the door, spin on a heel, and slam it shut in the faces of those right behind them.
