Trump's pathetic ground game
http://www.pbs.org/newshour/updates/trum...e-problem/

Trump has 4 offices total in PA, NC and FL. Hillary has 100.

This is a joke. Two months until the election and Trump still has no data or ground operation to speak of in the battlegrounds. Early voting starts in a couple weeks in some places. You can't just wait until a few weeks before the election before opening up campaign offices. You need to train staffers and volunteers, phone bank and canvass together. You need a central command. Trump's staffers and volunteers will be trying to find their way with no time left. Hillary could outperform the polls by like 3% in some of these states if Trump doesn't get his act together.

Trump's betting that you don't need those things, that a national heavily branded campaign has a real chance of winning.

I don't think he'll win, but if he does it won't be because he did all those traditional things.

I submit that as close as this race is...Hillary is the one with the pathetic ground game. By that metric...this election should be over. I guess it reinforces the idea that she is just horribly disliked everywhere.

It would seem his ground game is actually bringing people out to hear him speak.

There are hidden Hillary voters out there......

If you look six feet down and also in the fresh corpse bags at the mortuary you will find them plane as day. Disregard the engine noise.

I agree. People will be voting against a particular candidate, not for one

When will we all learn it doesn't matter who either side puts up both spin machines will destroy the character of them. It's the way the game is played anymore. In this hyperpartisan environment we won't see an approval rating above 60 after a year into the job.

Hillary had a 67% approval rating in 2010.

Trump was in Nelly videos not long ago.

Wise up.

RE: Trump's pathetic ground game
Trump just hired David Bossie. Looks like things are going to get even uglier.

In the late 1990s, David Bossie overreached in his zealous pursuit of the Clintons and it cost him his job. But after 20 years of investigating the couple, Bossie has once again been summoned to help bring down his old foe, Hillary Clinton, this time from the perch of a presidential campaign with no apparent limits.

why do you always resort to stupid logic?

do you really believe that no local office has ever done anything to help a candidate ever?

Not me. I will proudly vote for only real qualified ticket with governing experience. It will not be either of these losers.07-coffee3

RE: Trump's pathetic ground game
The point of a campaign office isn't to sit and look pretty. It's to serve as HQ for staffers who recruit and train volunteers and ID and make contact with millions of targeted voters in the community so that they register and/or get to the polls. You start in the persuasion phase, and once you laboriously identify your leaners and likely voters you work hard to get them to the polls. The Dems have a massive advantage in this area, just as they have the past two cycles, and it will pay dividends on election day (sooner in early voting states).

Imagine that, Trump not going with the traditional GOP ground game that brought the GOP the popular vote losers in 1992, 1996, 2000, 2008, and 2012.
