RE: Week 1 CUSA Power Rankings
Remember this is a strength ranking, not the standings....
1. LA Tech- Yes they lost, but it was by 1 point against Arkansas.
2. WKU- destroyed Rice. I think they would have beaten Kentucky worse then Southern Miss did.
3. Southern Miss- Great win over a weak SEC team.
4. MT- Ran it up on a team they should be able to run it up on.
5. UTEP- Solid win over former belt team.
6. ODU- Almost as easy as a bye week.
7. UTSA- Easy win.
8. FAU- Too close against an FCS program.
9. North Texas- A respectable score in a loss.
10. FIU- Not a respectable score, but hung in for a while.
11. Rice- looked really bad in the loss to WKU, Is Bailiff's job on the line this season?
12. Charlotte- Just ugly.
Marshall- NA
UAB- NA

Quite okay. Many would like to forget what's been going on at Rice football under Coach bailiff.
PS, congrats to South Miss for beating non-western Kentucky.

RE: Week 1 CUSA Power Rankings
My first week rankings and probably gonna be the same at the end of the year...
Top Teams
BIG PILE OF CRAP
Bottom Teams
There is and probably will be a big gap between the top dogs and the cellar dwellers. The top part of the league looks like it could be very strong this year.

But I did watch the entire La. Tech./Arkansas game. From that narrow perspective, I'd move the Bulldogs up at least one and maybe two spaces. Theirs was an impressive performance against a very good team on the road.
Agreed. They looked lights out most of the game. Better kicks and a little more exp at QB and they would have run away with that game.

What's crazy is , all I could see during that game against rice was the things we was doing wrong. This team has a lot of things to fix before I can say we are good, I think we can be good this season but Alabama is probably about to make us look like a high school team this weekend

+1. Gotta beat the champ to be the champ. MTSU could climb quickly. East will be a head banger between Western Kentucky, Marshall, and Middle Tennessee

"weak" SEC team? So, you KNOW UK is gonna be a weak SEC team after one measly game? Conversely, you think Rice is a powerhouse? For a school who can't beat WEAK C-USA opponents, that's a pretty bold statement, my friend..

Great win by S Miss but I would've been disappointed if you lost that game. Kentucky has always been a weak football team in the SEC minus a random year every now and then. They might be better than South Carolina in the east. We shall see though maybe they win the SEC east. Honestly, the whole SEC east is overrated and looked terrible the first week besides Georgia.

I agrée that KY is probably a weak SEC team, but i doubt any CUSA team has ever scored 34 unanswered points against any SEC teams nor dominated any SEC team for a half like Southern Miss did thé Wildcats in thé 2nd half Saturday..

Sure...every other team in C-USA woulda made mincemeat outta UK, right?
No one thinks UK is on par with Bama or Georgia....but Stoops has been recruiting all those 4 star athletes, they just missed a bowl game by losing to UL the last game of the year in '15, and I'd say the jury is still out on whether they are better than last year based on 1 game, BECAUSE WE ARE NOT BAD.
We shall see....

I agree what an awesome comeback and never quit attitude. I was worried at first but they should that heart. It was complete domination in the second half. Tech came back from a big deficit to Texas A&M in 2012 but still lost the game 59-57. Texas A&M was 11-2 that year in the SEC west. Manziel's first year. They beat Bama, LSU and Oklahoma in the Cotton Bowl by more points than us. We might have had a comeback against an SEC team like that but not sure. I know we have beat several over the years. Anyways it was a great win.
