Very leery of picking against FSU at home... But I think Ole Miss gets this one.

The difference:

The team that wants it more and comes to play will win

Texas wanted it last night. Are they really that good?? They wanted that win though

If FSU wants a title run this year, they better not listen to all the voices telling them how great they are...they better come to play tonight

I've been waiting all weekend for this game.

Has anyone heard that "Ole Miss" doesn't actually refer to a cutesy, southern twang pronunciation of "Old Mississippi". Instead, it's actually a slavery era term for the plantation owner's wife. IE, she is the "ole miss".

I heard that recently and was blown away. Anyone else hear that? Or maybe it's commonly known.

Huh. That's actually less offensive than I thought. "Old Mississippi" makes me think that they're supporting the way things used to be, i.e. slavery.

But that's sort of cool to be the modern-day "old lady" of the state.

It's a fact well known among people familiar with the South's antebellum history.

I've heard that before. I have no idea if it's true or an urban legend, though. Anyways, here's to a comfortable FSU win tonight

Who cares Ole Miss or Southern Miss if one is offensive then both would. Just a easier way then saying Mississippi constantly.
