Good luck against Purdue, gents. It would be great if UH and UC make it to week 3 undefeated. 04-cheers

Greg Ward not playing today, but expected to be back for Thursday. Injured shoulder.

I want wins. I can live with others' excuses.

Agreed. When Illinois beat us a couple years ago, we had great excuses. Horrible officiating which prompted an apology from IU, and an injured QB. But you know what? There's no asterisk next to their W. A win is a win in this climate.

Edit: for another example, BYU's only football national championship was against a 6 - 6 Michigan team. It was obviously an aberration to anyone that looks into the details, but the public only sees that national championship trophy.

Exactly.

Ward may be gimpy Thursday night and the noise level in Nippert will be off the charts. I like the way this UC team played today and expect a great contest Thursday night. And most of all, let's hope our local media don't promote this as a "play in" game for Big 12 expansion.
