Colorado State and UConn certainly didn't help their cause. Rice was obviously a long shot to begin with, but today's showing certainly could've hurt them as well. If week 1 was the only thing to consider, Houston and BYU would be in (assuming no late collapse by BYU). Everyone else basically had glorified scrimmages and didn't do anything to stand out.

Of course week 1 isn't the only thing being considered, and it likely has very little (if any) impact at all. Fun to speculate though.
