SIU is driving again, so Trey Hendrickson is back on the field...

SIU TD! After a bad snap, the SIU back-up QB throws a bad pass straight to FAU's cornerback, the ball bounces of his arms and falls into the SIU WR's hands for a TD. Xtra point is no good. FAU still leads but only 38-30.

FAU's defense has clearly let up and Trey Hendrickson is not playing at 100%. FAU's defense has already been shelacked for more than 500 yards! I am very worried...

Unbelievable... A quick 3-and-out and SIU have the ball back only down by 8.

SIU fumbles! FAU have the ball with a minute-and-a-half to go in SIU's half of the field. Ocie Rose forced the fumble and Jalen Young recovered it.

And that is how it ends... a win is a win but I am very disappointed by the team effort. Defense was listless (aside from Trey Hendrickson). SIU run up 530 yards on FAU.

How are we going to stop Miami who have already dropped more than 70 on FAMU?

Or the east division teams.... Cmon guys...

At least, we did better against these guys than Indiana did a year ago (Indiana, in the first game of their 2015 season beat SIU by 1 point)

SIU was top five in offense in the FCS (in yardage), but dead last in defense. So, I knew they would put up some yards. But 530?

Yeah.. I get you... But fcs... You guys have serious issues... We might as well.. I don't know until we play Akron...and Louisville.... 530 against SIU and you have us, WKU, and Middle in the division...and FIU is a tossup because it's a rivalry...

Let me just say, I had no idea this game was even played until I opened this thread and enjoyed to play-by-play.

1st half scared me. We gave up HUGE plays and the offense looked sad. 2nd Half we adjusted and we dominated until one fluke play gave them a TD. A win is a win, but I am concerned. This is year 3 of the Partridge Era. I expected a better performance from the team then this.

Yes, the D just did not show up until the third quarter. And after 17 consecutive points in the second half, they went back into the hibernation mode with only Trey Hendrickson causing havoc as he usually does. That young man is impressive as heck. Hopefully he stays healthy
