unfortunately, our eagles have seen it too many times in the past from that cast o' ze=bra wearin' little turd nuggets....

They (ESPN) used to call out that crap when they first began showing cfb. Then came their billion dollars deal with the sec and poof.....that's the end of that.

Yes, I saw the holding on the Ark RT, I think it was, as he had our guy by the shoulder pads. Also, I thought a PF should have been called when the Ark defender used both hands to rip our QBs helmet off. Other than those instances I thought the officiating was pretty good, but those were HUGE no calls. I think we will have a good team, but damn it would have been good to have won Saturday.

Thé main thing is that La Tech got a steal. I never heard why Monken did not recruit him. A lot of people around Meridian thought hé would get drafted high and go play baseball.

I haven't heard anything about him "calling to commit" to MSU. I know he waited a long time and his offer was pulled after two QBs committed to MSU. I know he wanted a school that would allow him to play two sports and Tech gave him that. He was drafted by the Padres in the 24th round coming out of high school. He redshirted in baseball as a freshman but with him in line to be the starting QB next season, I doubt he plays baseball for Tech.

I do not think we ever offered. It was puzzling to me. But I will say he was a very average high school QB. I always thought baseball was his ticket. My son played against him for two years and he was impressive. Could hit 92-93 mph but had control issues. Could mash the baseball and cover the outfield well.

He did look very good against Arkansas and I think USM will regret him getting away. I was rooting for Tech Saturday and hated they couldn't pull it out.

Well, after a long weekend of missing doves and crying over Tech football, I figured I would give my two cents. We had the game in the bag, but two missed field goals and SEC refs will get you every time, unless you play perfect. I learned a lot about the Bulldogs this year. We are very talented at many positions, but still need work. Jmar couldn't have played better as a Freshman, but the play book was simplified and he wasn't asked to do it all. I am hopeful that Higgins will start and play the rest of the playbook, now that everybody has tape on the new kid. J'Mar is going to be a three year starter, thats a fact, but right now we need senior leadership. Now if Higgins craps the bed, when he gets out there. I feel confident that J'Mar can at least get us to a bowl, but I now want more than that.

It is hard to swallow this loss. I'm proud of the Dawgs and their effort over the weekend.
