That game's result along with UTK's OT win against Appy State and other upsetting results (add NW loss to Western Mich) indicate weakness in the lower level P5 conference teams -- and #3 UOK's loss to Houston may grease Houston's way into the Big 12. The Labor Day schedule of games involving usual cupcake opponents is just getting underway.

BTW, Does this game give Miss Sate the distinction of being the only SEC team to lose to all three of Alabama's second tier of FBS schools (Troy, UAB, USA)?

I recall that one Miss SEC team has already lost a game to Jax State in the past. Was it Miss State?

I'm all for P5 teams losing to G5 teams, but that one is a little bittersweet since they did so with our former players and we recruit against them for in state players.

To make it BR, former Blazers Everett & Magee played major roles in the win especially Everett catching the game winning TD.

BTW, Jax State plays @ LSU this Saturday and will be on ESPNU. LSU has not lost an OOC home game in Tiger Stadium since UAB in 2000.

The Moos probably suck without the drunk QB they had last year.

That said, still good to see them lose.
