We've struggled a lot with GS in the past. That is a big IF. SDSU is probably a top 25 team in their own right, so it's possible, but probably not probable.

I highly doubt it, had MSU been ranked I would say more likely.

I'm not taking a cent away from this win but MSU was a middle of the road SEC team at best this year. That still means they should beat SBC teams, but it doesn't really lend a hand exposure wise

I would say App and South Alabama are tied for #1

Can't put App 1. They didn't win, South did. That's nothing against App, you just have to pull off the win to get the #1. Especially in a week 1 scenario.

I would say App and South Alabama are tied for #1

Can't put App 1. They didn't win, South did. That's nothing against App, you just have to pull off the win to get the #1. Especially in a week 1 scenario.

I have no problem with this.

Yeah I give App nothing but props for what they did against TN, but S. Alabama looked like I much more balanced team than App. Sure TN is a much better defense and App's play calling didn't help, but I'll be giving S. Alabama the nod this week in the power rankings.

App: 184 yds rushing, 108 yds passing. USA: 94 yds rushing, 285 yds passing. I am not sure what you mean by more balanced.

Some say...that Mississippi State is a middle-of-the-road SEC team and are acting like they're not surprised that South Alabama could beat them.

Forget all that. We've been making a big deal that the SBC has to win the OOC games and we haven't been too successful in this opening weekend. This is an outstanding OOC win and the Sun Belt's current teams only have a total of five (5) wins over any current SEC teams in the last TEN years (and that includes today's USA win). So, yeah, this is a big deal to get a win over any P5 team and especially an SEC team no matter what anyone says. Good job, Jaguars!

I'm just not shocked because I really did truly expect it to happen. And I expect USA to win the Sun Belt this year. And I said that before the season started....long before this win today.

South Alabama was coming from behind and were forced to pass. The stats might not seem balanced but the run game wasnt bad had they not fell behind from the missed fg's.

App seemed unable to pass or perhaps just unwilling to try. South Alabama did it all well today. I like App and after the stAte game I would have said it was App or GS easily this year. After watching todays game though I gotta put SA right there with them as my favorites
