Could it be that ESPN had influence in the decision? Think back from the beginning. Every ESPN writer and lackey has slighted and dissed Memphis. Think of the conference most affected by Memphis' entrance to a Power 5. Think of the influence this conference has on ESPN. Think of the influence ESPN has on the Big 12.

Been harping about ESPN on this forum since day 1. They are the most self serving, self promoting on events they don't have rights to, and a bunch of snot nose, silver spooned Ivy Leaguers at Bristol. They Look down on Memphis like Phil Jackson who said Downtown Memphis looked like a bombed out WWII city.
