The Owls take the field again on Sunday at 7:00 against Sam Houston. These are the Rice's only home contests this weekend in any sport.

RE: Rice soccer update
Mistakes by defenders lead to goals by the opposition. Two bad, bad passes in front of the goal (in a couple of minutes) and Samford was good enough to capitalize.
Once Rice trailed 3-1, the play definitely changed. I'm not a soccer expert, but this team has talent. Once the defense is solidified, we'll be a good team.

Very disappointing like last year. I am beginning to wonder if we should pull the plug on this coaching staff after this year if this is another disappointing year? A tie against Samford isn't reason to call for a new coach, IMO.

They've been playing fine. Samford is a good team.
