They were behind the Rice secondary all night long.
I suspect it is neither one. It was probably coaching. Six pass plays over 25yds? That's coaching.

Some guys just know how to coach offense. I've seen it over and over in this conference with Briles, Sumlin, Fedora, Monken, and Brohm. We will probably see it with Tony Franklin this year also. Those coaches know how to get the ball to their playmakers in space and can design offenses that take a QB that is a little above average and put up video game numbers in CUSA. I'm interested to see if the new UNT coach is able to do similar things.

is why diaper boy dc finally got fired pre '11 and elllllllllllloss was the worst possible hire in competition....

the offense can win in this conference with a mediocre dc....speed wins at all levels....

Much of our QB's success is a direct result of a head coach that was a pro QB himself. The system he uses just works

Which do you think makes him a better coach?

His NFL 252 career passing yards, 0 TDs and 5 INTs, passer rating of 26...

Or

His CFL 907 yards, 0 TDs and 5 INTs, passer rating of 61?

How about his XFL days? Watch the video and you'll see what makes him a special coach. Dude has some junkyard dog in him. Ask Stockstill. I watched him walk off the field at halftime last year and he needed someone holding him by the elbow to make sure he didn't crumple to the deck.

I'm sorry, Brohm looks like an absolute star in the making, but I just had to laugh at him being called a "pro QB".

Hey Beed, Brohm is a great coach and I'm not saying he leared nothing holding clipboards in the NFL and CFL, I just wouldn't point to his "pro qb" experience as one of the top reasons he's such a great coach.

If anything I'd say it was his football mind, the future coach in him if you will, that got him as far as he went as a player.

Well he was in the nfl for 6-7 years. Played under some of the greatest qb in the history of the game. If you can learn to perfect your game or how they work and the way to approach the game. So yes those years in the pros did wonders, he actually talks about it many times how
Much he learned from them. So yes you are funny.

All salient points. I just love watching that video. I've talked to Brohm several times at Diddle Arena and at the Football stadium. He's very charismatic and confident. I can see how he can fire up some young guys. His daddy was a legendary h.s. Football coach in Louieville. It's in his blood.

The greatest qbs of all time would be Montana and young. Under one of the best coaches of all time. So yes... The pro time did help tremendously.

You are correct. I honestly forgot there was more than one Brohm.

Crow for me.

At any rate, I think you have the wrong impression of me. I like you guys, in a begrudgingly sibling sort of way at times, but I'm proud to be conference mates and rivals with you guys.

He could be confusing you with the Bo Jackson of Bugtussle. Who has been pretty quiet last night and this morning. (I believe he's still reeling from White's performance last night)

I'll get your back. You do and have stuck up for Western. You'll get a little jab in every once in awhile just like I do with Middle. But usually much respect. 04-cheers

Good to see the gloating senior citizens out for a stroll this morning.

I don't post much anymore anyway but I wouldn't say I've been quiet. I had my first post in before you put your teeth in this morning.

With all those pleasantries out of the way, if White - whose first two college years looked Ryan Leaf's pro career - continues to put up numbers like this then it will be clear that it doesn't matter who goes under center, because it's all Brohm's system. Now, I don't want to face that reality because then it will mean that Brandon was just another average Joe that got to be paired with an evil genius as a coach. Because I liked watching that kid play I'm hoping for his sake that it's not all Brohm, but it's starting to look that way.

Kind of like Spurrier and all his QB's in the 90's that in any other system would have them look just like every QB that Vanderbilt has ever had.

One thing I do know is that Brohm is a hell of lot better head coach than his cheating predecessor. So, I give credit where it is due. Great coach. Even better hire. Well done.

"If a Tree fall in the Woods, and No One is around to Hear it, does it make a Sound?" In this morning's Tennessean Newspaper NOT ONE WORD ABOUT WESTERN vs. RICE!!! Sorry, Hill Toppers even if you are our (so-called Hated) rival, think you (and CUSA) deserve a little better coverage than to be ignored by the primary print media in the Largest City within 60 miles of your campus!!!! But, hey it's all about UT, Titans, and Vandy all the time in the Music City.

Just pointing out other coaches that have made stars out of schmucks.

(Don't worry WKU fans, not calling Doughty or White a schmuck)

Those were Brian's numbers anyway, as I've already admitted I forgot there were multiple Brohms.

Jeff spent more time in the league and was around all time greats as Jack Bauer pointed out, it was my mistake.
