you didn't get the point....there will be some g5s merge with bottom tier p5s as she shakes out....

A year and a half ago we were scheduled to play at Stanford this weekend. But they asked to move that to Thanksgiving weekend. Perhaps that factored into the change.

The message is with the revenues that come from sharing a conference with schools like Texas, Oklahoma, TCU and Kansas plus the Big 12 media deal, and the right commitment from Rice (happening now but harder to see in C-USA), Rice can emulate Stanford (where our athletic director came from). And who would not want a Stanford, sitting right in the middle of the fourth largest city in the country, in their conference?

So your 'theory' is to put together the best G5 conference so that it merges with the P5? Well history seems to suggest otherwise, there use to be six BCS conferences, remember the Big East? Then came FBS and the Big East was out or have you forgotten that already.
