RE: The official "who's left standing in the B12 expansion?" Topic
It sounds like they are either going to stand pat, or add only 2. If that is the case, It doesn't matter if Memphis is left standing, They like my school UCF is likely not going to get a spot.

Seems logical, but can we put SDSU in the "Officially Confirmed" stack yet? Seems that UNM, ECU, and UNLV are all that can be put into the "officially confirmed" column yet.

SDSU didn't comment, but they also said they didn't comment that they were interested in the first place. That answer and "several sources" is good enough to put them in the officially confirmed category.

McMurphy said we are. I'll take what he says. Not in an official tweet but in the ESPN article. Our AD is still silent on the matter, but that's just how he is.

The same sources that told McMurphy that the Big 12 is not expanding either. That means the info are wrong. If schools are keeping mum on the word? They are still in the running.

Sad to hear Boise is out. They have scoreboard and success, and I wish that is what expansion was all about.
Wish we had some kind of system where it was about the school, not the conference, and every team had a shot to go all the way like the NCAA BBall tourney.

With 3 former SWC schools in the go, Big 12 would become SWC 2.0 again if they add all 3 Texas schools. Rice, SMU, Tulane and UConn do not belong on the short list. Boise State, New Mexico, San Diego State and Northern Illinois deserves to be on this list.
Not quite official-but Memphis and Temple are out.
"However, the Tigers did not make the latest cut when the league trimmed its group of potential candidates by one-third, leaving 11 schools still alive in the Big 12's expansion sweepstakes.
Those 11 schools are Air Force, BYU, UCF, Cincinnati, UConn, Colorado State, Houston, Rice, South Florida, SMU and Tulane. The list does not include Temple, which had been previously reported by ESPN as still being in the mix."
