They won on the floor and recruiting.

Ok we had a better season so why they got the recruits. If we played in the sec where would we finish? Also the sec sucks so be honest with yourself.

We won our conference and were nearly 100 RPI spots better. We had a better season. Winning on recruiting means nothing until you actually do something with it. We've only beaten them maybe once in recruiting in 5 years and it was *barely*.

There's no way to know where we would finish in the SEC or where Auburn would finish in CUSA so it is irrelevant talking about it.

Auburn may one day be good, but they haven't been yet. I won't be surprised if they're pretty good next year.

And UAB lost every P5 game they played last year so what that tell you.

He signed with the Lakeshore squad right.

Correct, because we signed Williams and Darling and wanted these 2 players more than Chambers. So we chose other options and therefore did not lose him.

He committed before both uab signees

Again correct. Not a loss if you want other options. I give you win. Can't convince you even though I know the story. Similar to Gustys.

Darling wasnt an option until late. A shooter we signed because Calhoun transferred and Chambers commit to Samford in the early signing period. We beat FGCU for Darling and they beat us for Brian Thomas this year. Oh we probably didn't want Thomas anymore.

Haven't seen Darling or Thomas play in person but I can tell you we got the raw end.

I give. You are the Naismith of BlazerTalk. Whatever you say I will believe it as the undeniable truth ! As an FYI,Darling committed in October 2015, which is also for most people in this realm is early signing period.

I don't like or agree with Big Dee's constant negativity, but I agree with him on one thing in this thread. UAB did NOT prove it was better than Auburn last year. Hopefully, we can correct our issues on the road and against P5 teams, or we may enter the CUSA slate with a .500 or worse record.

USM beat an SEC basketball school in football last weekend. UKY has had poor FB recruiting classes for many years. UA and AU have the reverse problem in basketball recruiting since they are both perceived to be football schools and have trouble attracting many top BB recruits (even during Sanderson's reign, UA had no more than two "stud players" at a time). UAB does not have such a clearly perceived sports ID, especially after 12/2/14.

Chances are that UAB will continue to compete with AU more effectively in BB with its present program unless Bruce Pearl surprises us all..

Dee said, UAB was the 3rd best team in the state... He didn't indicate a time period... I said you can only judge the best by how they performed on the floor... Head to head competition.
Since the inception of UAB basketball based on head to head competition... UAB is the best ten in the state.

This current day and tomorrow.
Auburn won last year
We beat Bama once
Auburn has the number one recruiting for 2017
Bama actually beat some top 25 teams
UAB lost every P5 game last year
Recruiting opens up in a couple of days so few things could fall in place.
Auburn is off to 2018 recruiting
UAB currently has only Bryant committed and he's the ninth man by default
Mike Anderson is doing pretty well recruiting

We would kill for kentuckys poor classes in football. And Alabama has recruited much better than you indicate. Why you continue to harp on Football schools can't recruit in other sports is beyond me.

It doesnt just threw a former coach in the response whos recruiting very well. Dont think Haase has a commit yet. Davis and Murry isnt in their arena.
Mike Anderson did get one Alabama HS recruit who we may have missed on.

Everywhere I look shows Stanford with one hard commit. Looks like he's a top 100ish guy. They only have 3 scholarships and 8 upper class men will be back next year. Don't know why you hate Haase so much, but there isn't a ton to be concerned about there right now. They have offers out to some really good players.

Good for Haase, wouldve thought his recruiting wouldve been way better by now. I dont hate the guy im not you. Stanford should be easy to recruit to.
