RE: Paul Myerberg's FBS Rankings
Looks about right except I don't think BGSU will be that great and I think everyone is underestimating Toledo.

RE: Paul Myerberg's FBS Rankings
I would put Toledo above NIU.
CMU should be above Ohio and BGSU. CMU may even finish higher than NIU this year.

I suppose if you keep guessing NIU will not win the West again you'll eventually be right.

The only two downsides with Toledo are defense and they need a QB

We have a QB, Logan Woodside. Who started two seasons ago when Ely got hurt. He'll be just fine.

RE: Paul Myerberg's FBS Rankings
I'd put CMU higher than Ohio and BG. They will be in the running in the MAC West.

I would also hesitate to put BG in the top half of the conference right now. They've lost so much since last year. Matty J, Travis Greene, like 10 receivers, entirely new coaching staff, injuries, and they lack size on defense. I'm not predicting doom and gloom, because they still have a lot of talent. But this is a transitional year for the Falcons and I have no idea what they're going to look like this year.

Toledo on paper looks better than NIU, but at this point I don't think anyone should ever underestimate the Huskies.

Last year Hare was at 142.8 before he got injured. So, pretty close.

Look at their 2014 season stats. Remember, a True Soph Woodside was the backup and became starter in the 3rd game, reeled off 7 straight MAC wins as the starter and won a Bowl game as QB. Now as a Junior, if he stays healthy, Woodside will do very well.

Bingo!!!

RE: Paul Myerberg's FBS Rankings
Woodside even stepped in successfully in 2013 against EWU and CMU. He has plenty of experience, and he had an entire year to learn from Ely.

The worst case scenario would be handing the ball off 35 times to Hunt and Swanson and UT still wins 8 games. Corey Jones and Cody Thompson are still top 25 players that Woodside can throw to.

RE: Paul Myerberg's FBS Rankings
Ely was an excellent passer but not much of a runner. Woodside can run the ball somewhat the way Dantin did. It gives the defenses one more thing to consider.

We rarely get picked to win the west (especially by the media) even though it's been 6 in a row. So, just stating facts.
