2 Deep Is Out
Who is Joe Sanders. Plus the defense looks pretty good on paper. Nice to see Leroy make it also some of the red shirt freshmen make it as well. Expecting big things from line backers this year. Also Spencer Tears makes it behind golladay! Interesting not to see Jordan huff make it or Tommy minster. Any thoughts.

Huff is listed with Jones at second string. Joe Sanders is the JUCO kid who was committed to UCF then flipped last minute to us.

RE: 2 Deep Is Out
Huff is listed. Leroy is the only true freshman on the 2 deep. Lurry as punt returner seems risky but was mentioned here previously. Turner/Brown at KR should be a nasty combination.

We need Lurry on D. Don't we have enough players who could return punts so as not to risk injury to our best defensive player?

It's not uncommon for teams to have top players, whether offensive or defensive, field punts. Whoever has the best hands and ball protection. I'm sure the coaches are aware of the risk and decided it's the best move.

Yeah, punt return is more about hands, and seems to heavily end in fair catch situations anyway. And when there is a return opportunity, there's a decent case to be made that a DB- especially one who picked as many as Lurry did last year- should read the field better than an offensive player would. Now, KOR, that is a more chaotic situation.

I wouldn't risk it unless there is no choice. Apparently, there is no choice on the Huskies.

Surprised that Folliard has OR next to him with bobby jones. Nice to see Blake stood out enough to get a starting nod. Before he graduates here I think he will do some good things.

I would think that Folliard is more of an injury issue than playing issue.

RE: 2 Deep Is Out
I'm not worried about Mister not being on the 2 deep. I'm sure he will still get carries. He's the kind of player you put into the fourth quarter when defenses are tired,or on 4th and 1 situations. Also shows that Huff is taking care of business at practice, which is a good sign.

"OR" simply means undecided on stater and/or backup. Always has/always will!

I'm really impressed that Joe Sanders, after only being on campus for a few weeks is good enough to start the first game.... Look forward to seeing what he can do.
