This could be the year that two SEC schools make the playoffs, don't know which two but likely UA & either of LSU or the SEC East champ. So,

UA
LSU (or UT or UGA) - if either of these 3 can win the SEC
ACC champ (Clemson or FSU)
B1G champ/PAC champ - whichever is highest rated

With this scenario, politics will rise to the occasion & the B1G will likely prevail.

What is the view in Alabama on the three very tough road games for the Tide? It's the reason I left them out. Two losses seems possible.

It would be interesting to see if the selection committee would take teams from different conferences who played each other in the regular season. This year, Oklahoma meets the Buckeyes in week 3. Bama gets USC in week one. USC would be a long shot, but if they were to run the table in the PAC and only lost early to Alabama they'd have to be considered.
