The more I see of the team, the less impressed. Granted, I've only watched our two losses this year. Beating JSU would be a step in the right direction, a direction we need to take to get to the next level whether that is perennial FCS power, FBS call-up, or whatever.

More importantly, what will the uniform combo be?

I really think a win here will help get us back on track. I know that is a cliche and obvious thing, but the Fr. QB needs a little success to build confidence. The team needs to feel good about themselves. Hopefully we have more tham 13,000 fans there.

The reality to LU winning out. That would be beneficial to get the BSC autobid. Only if LU was to win at a minimum one playoff game would that seem beneficial. To win the BSC and then lose the first playoff game would simply be an extension of the first 3 of 4 games. Very few were predicting LU would beat SMU (beat writer for N&A did?), no one thought VT was going to be a victory, and most thought the Jax St game was going to be competitive. The 8+ movement OL jitter penalties vs. VT, the very poor QB play at SMU, and the complete team laydown/coaching debacle against Jax St was the worst team/coaching combo loss in team history. Granted Jax St is a very good team. Is/was LU that bad?

A first round playoff loss would simply be a return to FB outside of the weak BSC conference play. Only if LU won a first round game and played a competitive 2nd round, would this year be salvageable. If Gill was miraculously able to win the BSC autobid, a first round playoff win, and a second round playoff win could it be argued that he has potentially turned things around. With his years at LU, these are his players and coaches and he get the reward/criticism. It's why he's paid the big bucks. Ask Les Miles.

Robert Morris is garbage.

Finally a good game. That's what we needed. Build momentum and try to make this season a success.

That was mostly satisfying. Lack of rushing was troubling. But all in all, what I saw of the game was encouraging.

Looked good guys, I think y'all can give CSU a run for their money. Just work out some of the kinks.

We've got to get our run game going. I would like to see Franky Hickson get more touches. He had a burst that the others don't have. Barber and Jr. have to be worried about an attendance of just over 11,000. That's two games in a row with low attendance.
