It's that time of year. The magical game week prior to the opening weekend of another season of college football.

Since the CFCG in January, we have all bided our time here going back and forth on every bit of news - regardless of how important or meaningless. Now its time to actually focus on the games!

We get to enjoy the last lazy week of summer before heading into a holiday weekend - with all of our beloved teams opening their seasons. Every team is currently undefeated. Every fan's dreams of that magical season is alive and well. We all know that, unlike the NFL, college rosters typically turn over by at least 25% a year, with younger players hopefully developing faster than any of the pundits would have predicted. Hope springs eternal!

In the coming weeks, the dreams for some fans will be dashed or at least seriously dented. Other fans will revel in the joy of unexpected success.

To the fans of every team in our little online community, best of luck and I hope you realize your gridiron dreams! (Well, except for the fans of the teams on BC's schedule when they play BC! ).

Good luck to everyone, unless you happen to be a fan of Iowa, Eastern Illinois, WKU, Cincinnati, Ohio, Akron, Kent State, BGSU, EMU, CMU, Buffalo, or Ball State over the next 12 weeks. As long as Michigan loses to us this year I'm happy, sick and tired of how cocky they are getting under Harbaugh before they've proved anything.

You're just lucky to live in Miami. Oh wait that's the one in Ohio... of all states...
