Has anyone seen this series on Netflix? it is a community college in Mississippi that has won JuCo national Championship a few time, and has , it seems, an entire team consisting on Div 1 prospects or former players, none of whom can speak English beyond broken Ebonics, and who rarely attend class, never ever do homework, and my suspicion is that few can read beyond a first grade level, but basically play a year at this community college (living in dorms, with scholarships) and then get full rides at Power 5 football schools. Watching the show it is clear that these kids do nothing, and get coddled along while big coaches recruit them.

The coaches for this school have impressive resumes, and this school in a very poor area has incredible football facilities. This is a pathetic reminder of what is important in America these days.

Thanks for the post and "heads-up" about the series. I have not seen it, but will look for it.

Sounds like one of the many reasons why I am becoming more and more of an advocate and fan of D-3 schools and athletics. Principles and standards are important, but few D-I schools have them.
